Winthrop Harbor Fire Department proudly protects 7000 people living in an area of 5 1/2 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid on call status. We have a part-time work schedule that consists of a 2 person day crew in the station from 5:00am -8:00pm 365 days a year. The part-time personnel are filled through our own paid-on-call personnel.
