About Winchester Bay Rural Fire Protection District:
Winchester Bay Rural Fire Protection District proudly protects 1000 people living in an area of 5 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We are a small community on the centeral Oregon Coast. Most of our district is US 101, National Forest Service Dunes Recreation and Water Front. We have the Best sand and the Worst wrecks. We have 20 vol. Fire Fighters and Emts. 2 class A 1250 pumpers and Hyw, SCUBA, and dune rescue units.
