About New Hope Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.:
New Hope Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. proudly protects 2000 aprox people living in an area of 55 square miles. We operate out of one stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The NHVFD was Chartered in March of 1977. We have 12 active firefighters and 4 non-firefighters. We are on a pager system with the County 911 for fire-rescue. We have 24 hours phone coverage. There is someone around the station 24 hours a day. Chief of Operations Evans and husband Homer, who is the dispatcher for the Department, live right next door. They keep things rolling.
