About Central Townships Fire Department:
Central Townships Fire Department proudly protects 10000 people living in an area of 189 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Central is a fully volunteer department situated in Madison County. Covering six townships:Deercreek,Paint,Oak Run,Union,Sommerford,and Monroe.Operating out of two stations.Station 291 located 2miles north of London,and station 292 located 2 miles south of London.Coverage area includes 9 miles of Interstate 70,Lake Choctaw subdivision,the towns of Lafayette,Newport,Plumwood,and Sommerford.In addition we cover London Correctional Institute,Madison Corectional,and Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy.
