About West Alexandria EMS:
West Alexandria EMS proudly protects about 2000 people living in an area of 67 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. West Alexandria EMS started in 1977 and presently has 2 Units 68-271 and 68-272. In 1999 the department responded to 500 calls and this contuines to increase each year. Our Chief is Rhonda L. Martin (68-270) and she has one Asst. Chief Judy Myers-Corn (68-273) two Captains Charlotte Craft (68-275) and Aaron Maggard (68-276) and one Lieutenant Alan Smith (68-277). We have 25 members, the Chief is full time and she has 2 Part-Time personel that run dayshift 5a-5p who are Marty Tharp and Jennifer Devilbiss. We currently have 4 Paramedics and 1 EMT-Interm. and the rest of are members are all bridged. Dr. Judy Royer is our Medical Director.
