About Wellborn VFD:
Wellborn V.F.D. proudly protects 6000 people living in an area of 90 square miles. We operate out of 4 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Wellborn VFD is command by Chief Thomas Maynard who has been both a career and and volunteer firefighter. The department has shown significant expansion over the last ten years and is presently waiting for the results of an ISO reinspection. Hopefully we are going to drop to a 6/8.
