We operate out of one station that primarily serves a residential area. Our public department is a combination of paid and volunteer members. The Town of Weaverville Fire Department was founded in 1912 and provided protection to Northern Buncombe County, until each area began forming separate departments. Today we still provide protection by contract with the North Buncombe Fire District. The Department is staffed by 17 full-time personnel, 3 part-time personnel, and 3 volunteers.
