About Colleton Rural Fire Department:
Colleton Rural Fire Department proudly protects 10-12k people living in an area of 122 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. The Colleton Rural Fire department,was organized in the fall of 1968. A 1958 schoolbus service truck was donated to the Department, and with the help of volunteer firefighter's it became our first fire truck.
