About Waikoloa Volunteer Fire Department:
Waikoloa Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 12098 people living in an area of 274 square miles. We operate out of one stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Waikoloa Volunteers (Engine Company 16A) are the oldest active volunteer fire department in West Hawaii. The Engine Company 16A is part of the County of Hawaii Volunteer Division. Our Primary responsibility is fighting wildland and structure fires in and around Waikoloa Village, which is located approximately 30 miles north of Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. We also respond, when additonal manpower or equipment is needed, to all areas of North and West Hawaii County.Training is conducted weekly on Tuesday evening at 7:00pm at the station. Monthly drills conducted by the Hawaii County Fire Department are held on the second Wednesday of the month. Sign Our Guestbook View Our Guestbook |
