About Verbena Volunteer Fire Department:
We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Union Grove Volunteer Fire Dept. (UGVFD) endeavors to provide any Fire and Rescue service needed by the Union Grove community. We hope these services are never required, but accidents do happen, so we prepare for the worst and hope for the best. We have 26 firefighters, 4 Emergency Medical Technicians, 1 Registered Nurse, 2 Rescue and Recovery Divers, and 3 cave rescue personnel.
