About Edge-Scott Fire Protection District:
Edge-Scott Fire Protection District proudly protects 2500 people living in an area of 3.0 square miles. We operate out of One stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We are a completely volunteer fire department with only the chief and trustee's receiving a minor stipend. We prefer to use the available budget to get the best equipment available and to have an excellent training program. All Fire Fighters must be certified as a Fire Fighter II through the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal within 3 3/4 years of first becoming a member.
