About Union Springs Fire Department:
UNION SPRINGS FIRE DEPARTMENT proudly protects 3500 people living in an area of 28 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. The UNION HOSE & ENGINE COMPANY was form in 1906. Today we have 43 active members made up of 39 men and 4 women which provide 24 hour a day, 365 days a year service to the community and are proud of it. The community is located on the east side of Cayuga Lake in central New York. This small town caters to the business, boating and farming industry of a rural and residential area. The population ranges from 3,500 people during the off season and during the summer months this town grows to over 4,000 residents. The company's main objective is to provide fire/rescue protection.
