Berne Township Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 4967 people living in an area of 43 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Nestled at the gateway to the beautiful Hocking Hills, our fire department serves both the rural population and visiting tourist travelling our highways. Our department is all volunteer since it's developement in 1932.
