Established in 1979, the Haz Mat unit consists of 15 full time professional members trained in haz mat, firefighting confined space rescue, weapons of mass destruction response and first aid. The Unit is ready to assist fire departments, first aid and police for incidents ranging from minor spills to mass casulty incidents.
