We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The San Angelo Emergency Corps was organized in 1954 after the Tornado that struck Lake View in 1953. Our Department is mutual aide to 10 volunteer fire departments in the surrounding area providing fire support assistance/EMS support and Search and Rescue Capabilities. We have 6 certified Padi Rescue Divers and numerous certified Texas EMT's, and certified Fire Fighters. We are a non-profit orginazation that relys on donations and fund raisers. We provide support to numerous civic functions and area school sport related activities.
