About Saint Jo Fire/EMS:
Saint Jo Fire/EMS proudly protects 2200 people living in an area of 200 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Saint Jo Volunteer Fire/EMS Department provides Fire surpression and emergency ambulance service free of charge to the City and surrounding areas. We have 21 men and 9 women serving our department. We have 3 Paramedics, 3 Intermediates, 8 Basics, and 6 ECA serving our EMS Dept. We also maintain a reserve department with 2 Paramedics, 1 Basic, and 5 Firefighters. We have 4 firefighters Certified through TCFP, and 3 through SFFMA.
