About Kochville Township Fire Department:
Kochville Township Fire Department proudly protects 2800 people living in an area of 18 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid on call status. The Kochille Township Fire Department proudly protects an area of 18 square miles and a residential population of approximately 2800 people. We have approximately 200 businesses. We operate out of one station, and our employees/members are on a paid on call status. The Kochville Township Fire Department is lead by Chief Michael Burger. We currently have 20 employees/members and an auxillary staff of 6. We have 5 apparatus in service. The Kochville Township Fire Department is responsible for fire suppression, fire prevention, fire code enforcement, search & rescue, extrication, carbon monoxide detection, and hazardous condition control. The Kochville Township Fire Department was orgainized in 1973 as a volunteer department. We are part of the North Tender Task Force of Saginaw County. Members are required to attend training once every three weeks, and one monthly meeting. The department is governed by the Kochville Township Board.
