About Saddle River Fire Department:
Saddle River Fire Department proudly protects 2800 people living in an area of 5 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. A growing department consisting of thirty members,the Saddle River Fire Department is faced with a unique challenge. Borough residents depend on independant wells to provide water to their homes, therefore, Saddle River lacks fire hydrants and a water main system to feed them.The department depends upon tanker supply and drafting in order to provide the water necessary to fight fires. Only now is the borough beginning to install a water system with hydrants for firefighting and hope is high that it will aid the department tremendously. Known for its sense of family, the Saddle River Fire Department is admired for how tight-knit its members are and as a family we welcome you to take a look at our department through the eyes of this web page.
