About Rudolph Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.:
Rudolph Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. proudly protects 6500 people living in an area of 226 square miles. We operate out of 4 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a private department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. Our Department was chartered on December 18, 1947 with 24 members. It was comprised of a pumper and tanker. At that time we served the village of Rudolph and the surrounding area. In 1998/99 we added a large area to the fire protection district. Our department went thru a ISO inspection in 1999 and have received a new rating. We also provide and receive free mutual aid with many other excellent departments in Wood, Portage and Marathon Counties. In 2000 23 members completed Hazardous Materials Technican training and assist the Portage County Hazardous Materials Team as called.
