About Rosemont District Fire Department:
Rosemont District Fire Department proudly protects 5000+ (significant weekender population) people living in an area of approx. 130 square kilometers. We operate out of one station and protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are volunteers / paid on call. Rosemont District Fire Department currently provides Fire and Rescue services to the communities of Violet Hill, Mansfield, Kingsbridge, Big Tree Circle, Pine River Chalets, Lloyds Traverse, Mountainview Estates, and Rosemont. RDFD also provides Mutual Aid to both Dufferin and Simcoe County Fire Dept's (Orangeville FD, Shelburne FD, Mulmur/Melancthon FD (Honeywood), Adjala / Tosorontio FD (Loretto / Everett), and Caledon FD (Mono Mills)).
