About Rochester Fire Rescue:
Rochester Fire Department proudly protects 4,681 people living in an area of 39 square miles. We operate out of 3 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid on call status. Rochester is located 50 miles south of Boston. Protecting 39 square miles, our coverage area is a mix of residential and agricultural with a small industrial area. A large waste to energy plant is within our protection district.
