About Rankin Vol. Fire Dept.:
Rankin Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 900 people living in an area of 400 square miles. We operate out of one stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Rankin VFD has an average 20 person membership of all- volunteer firefighters. Ten members are certified thru SFFMA criteria. Four more are within a very few hours of being certified. Rankin VFD is well equipped and well trained.
