Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Pound Rescue Squad, Inc. is a rural Southwest Virginia Rescue Squad that consists of 24 officers and members ranging from National Registry Paramedics, Cardiac Technicians, Shock Trauma Technicians, Emergency Medical Technicians and support personnel as well as a specialized SCUBA Rescue & Recovery Team.
