Port William Fire Department proudly protects 2200 people living in an area of 28 square miles. We operate out of One stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Port William Fire Department, since its inception in 1960, has played an important part in protecting the health, welfare, and safety to the residents of Port William and Liberty Township. The Fire Department has progressed from hand pumps and bucket brigades to the sophisticated firefighting equipment of our time. The Village of Port William and Liberty Township has a fire department it can be proud of and can depend on in any emergency.
