Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status. The Poplar Bluff Fire Department has 33 paid personel: Chief, Ass't. Chief, Secretary, Mechanic, 3 Shift Commanders, 6 Captains, and 21 Firefighters operating out of 3 stations. The Shift Commanders, Captains, and Firefighters work on a 24 on 48 off format while the others have a normal work week.
