We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Plattsmouth Fire and Rescue department is divided in two separate entities. The Plattsmouth Volunteer Fire department and the Plattsmouth Volunteer Rescue Squad. The Fire Department is comprised of up to 50 members and the Rescue Squad up to 30 members. The Fire department has one Chief, two Assistant Chiefs, one Captain and one Lieutenant.
