About Leetown Volunteer Fire Department:
Leetown Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 8500 people living in an area of 71 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We operate out of one station at present but are in the process of establishing 2 more. We are presently a Class 10 fire district but we are working on our Class 9 rating at this time. Leetown Volunteer Fire Department was formed by concerned members of the community that felt the need for fire protection. The department was formed in 1977, but it was covered by Southeast Vol. Fire Dept. until Leetown was formed. Our meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at 7 PM. This is an open meeting and the public is always invited.
