About Brent Volunteer Fire Department:
The BRENT VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT proudly protects 25000 night & 50000 day people living in an area of 4 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a commercial and residential areas. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status.
The Brent Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1948 in response to the local school burning down. The Brent community banded together and with a surplus Navy fire truck the Brent Fire Department was born. We cover about 4 square miles with a population of about 25,000 people at night and about 50,000 people during the day. Our area is about 70% commercial and 30% residential. We are located in Escambia County (Pensacola) Florida. We respond out of one station with three pumpers and one heavy rescue squad. We are a combination department of about 20 volunteers and a 24 hour career crew of 4 firefighters working three shift rotation. We are always in need of volunteers.
