About Atlantic Steamer Fire Company No. 1, Inc.:
ATLANTIC STEAMER FIRE CO. NO. 1 proudly protects 25000 people living in an area of 8.5 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Atlantic Steamer Fire Co. No. 1 was organized in 1896. The Company responds to all alarms in the hamlet of Oyster Bay, as well as in the villages of Cove Neck, Oyster Bay Cove, Laurel Hollow and Mill Neck. We respond together with the Oyster Bay Fire Co. No. 1. We currently have 70 active members who faithfully serve the community. In 2002 we responded to over 875 alarms.
