We operate out of 4 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. Oxford Fire Dept has a long proud history of service to our community. We have 35 volunteers with the Chief working full time and 6 of the volunteers working part time. We are supported by the City of Oxford and a county fire tax. Oxford is a growing community and our call volume has increased to almost 600 calls a year. We recently improved our ISO rating to a Class 4. This puts the Oxford Fire Department in the top 10% in the country.
