We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status. The Oswego Fire Department employs 66 full time fire fighters and EMS personnel. It operates an ALS/Paramedic ambulance service for the City of Oswego and the three surrounding townships, with an average of 4000 EMS responses annually. In addition to the services listed, the OFD operates a marine unit for water rescues on the Oswego River and Lake Ontario. Operating out of two stations the on-duty staff runs with two engine companies, one engine/aerial company, one heavy rescue and two ambulances.
