We operate out of one stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. the nuremberg community ambulance association was formed back in 1968 to provide coverage to the residence of north union, black creek,parts of hazle and beaver townships. but back in 1994 the nuremberg community ambulance had picked up the responsibility of increasing their coverage area size by picking up east union township when the sheppton oneida ambulance had turned the area over to nuremberg because they didn't have the manpower required by the state to cover it. and they also sold us their ambulance to back-up our first due unit due to the size of our coverage area increase and that now the next closest bls unit to us in any given direction is at least 8 miles or more.our coverage area lies with in 3 different counties.
