About Newark Township Volunteer Fire Department:
Newark Township Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 3500 people living in an area of 7 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The department was formed in 1950. We were one of the first departments in the county to offer Emergency Medical Service when we purchased our first Ambulance in 1954.
