About New London Volunteer Fire Department:
New London Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects About 1500 people living in an area of 92 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The New London Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1958 or 1959 and was incorporated in 1960. The department is actively involved with training programs both in-house and through other agencies. The department spends and average of 1800 man hours on call and 2000 man hours in training each year. The department responds to and average of 90 calls per year. Funding is by the New London City Budget, Rusk County Fire District and private or corporate donations.
