Ridgewood Fire Dept proudly protects 20000-30000 people living in an area of six square miles. We operate out of two stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status. 102 YEARS OLD. WE HAVE A 40 MAN DEPT. 2 HOUSES. ONE SINGLE ENGINE HOUSE, AND ONE HOUSE WITH A ENGINE, LADDER, AND RESCUE. 12 MEN PER SHIFT, WITH A MIN. OF 9 ON DUTY. ONE CAPTAIN WHO IS THE SHIFT COMMANDER, TWO LIEUTANTS, 9 FIREMAN.
