We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Appleby Fire Dept. is located in the Appleby Community Center in Appleby Texas.The Dept was formed in April of 1975. Appleby Fire Dept has been one of the most progressive rural fire dept in Nacogdoches County.We were the first dept to initiate the medical first responder program in the county.We have a total of 37 fire fighters 18 which are EMS certified and 6 support/first responders. We have in our dept. (5) Level II Instructors and (4) Level I Instructors.
