About Pinewood Fire Department:
Pinewood Fire District proudly protects 2000-8000 people living in an area of 160 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. The department was formed in 1973 and was entirely volunteer. In 1984 the Department progressed to full-time 24 hour coverage. A 5 person Board oversees the operations of the District through the fire chief. We provide EMS, Fire suppression and prevention services, and public education.
