About Mountain Brook Fire Department:
Mountain Brook Fire Department proudly protects 20500 people living in an area of 12 square miles. We operate out of 3 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status. The Mission of the Mountain Brook Fire Department is the preservation and conservation of life and property through the efficient, effective and diligent delivery of both emergency and non emergency services to the citizens of the City of Mountain Brook. Our goal is to prolong and enhance the quality of community life through excellence in fire suppression, fire prevention, emergency medical intervention and additional emergency services which will help the department meet this goal. We pledge to the citizens of Mountain Brook, our clients, the establishment of a departmental agenda based upon the needs of the community we serve. We further pledge to maintain an innovative and progressive department, taking advantage of any and all technological advances in fire service equipment and personnel training which will support the department in meeting its mission.
