About Big Lake Fire Department (Skagit County Fire Dist 9):
Big Lake Fire Department (Skagit County Fire Dist 9) proudly protects 6000 people living in an area of 22 square miles. We operate out of 3 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Pierce County Fire District No. 11 is a small 100% Volunteer Department located between the Cities of Puyallup, Edgewood and Sumner. Our staff consists of one Fire Chief, one Assistant Fire Chief, one Fire Captain, one Fire Lieutenant and 20 - 25 very dedicated Firefighters.
