About Glennwood Volunteer Fire and Rescue:
Glennwood Vol. Fire / Rescue proudly protects 1600 people living in an area of Approx 40 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.

We are a Vol. Fire / Rescue Department Established in 1995. We have received our new rating of 7/9 from ISO effective 10/1/99. Our department has 15 members on the roster. We currently have 1 EMT/ Paramedic, 4 EMT/Basics, 5 First Responders for medical calls. All members are also Firefighters as well. Our department is supported primarily by donations from our community, which has built this department from the ground up. We are all proud to be a part of this community which supports such a needed cause. Thanks for this department goes to the people of the community and the volunteers which give their time to man and run the department. We are dispatched by North Star Paramedical Services on a frequency of 155.325 mz. Our coverage area is approximately 40 sq. miles and 1600 residents, all in a rural area. The mission of Glennwood Volunteer Fire/Rescue Department is to protect life and property by providing prompt responses to fire and medical calls, proper and efficient basic life support and rescue services, fire and safety education and fire prevention with professional and well trained personnel in a cost effective manner.
