We operate out of 4 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status. The Morgan City Fire Department is a progressive department always striving to become better. Emphasis is placed on the safety and well being of the department, it's members, and the community we serve. Fire department admininstration consist of the Fire Chief, 2 Assistant Fire Chiefs and 1 Secretary. Administrative hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday. The department's line personnel consist of three 10-member shifts, each having 4 Captains, 4 Operators and 3 Firefighters. We also have a 2-member Swing shift consisting of 1 Captain and 1 Operator.
