We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. The Monroe Fire Department has 26 full-time employees and 11 volunteers. We have 8 full-time people working per shift working 24hours on and 48 hours off. 1 Assistant Chief and the secretary who work 8am. to 5pm Monday through Friday. We have 2 ALS units and 1 Ladder Truck and 1 Engine staffed each shift.
