About Mission Volunteer Fire Department:
We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We are a volunteer department located in the Todd County/Rosebud Reservation area in south central South Dakota. We serve a diverse population of farmers, ranchers, and small business owners. We work in conjunction with the BIA Forestry Services out of Rosebud, and with volunteer fire departmens from St. Francis, Parmelee, and White River to protect tribal and private grasslands, homes, and businesses.
