About Upper Dingman Township VFD:
Dingman Township Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. proudly protects 8850 people living in an area of 5 square miles. We operate out of one stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Dingman Township Volunteer Fire Department began in 1970 as the Gold Key Lake Fire Department As we continued to grow the department decided to change our name to better fit the area we protect and we became the Upper Dingman Twp. Vol. Fire Dept. Then in the spring of 1999, with the support of our Township Supervisors, we once again changed our name to Dingman Twp. Vol. Fire Dept. We protect 12 private communities, Route 739, part of Log Tavern Rd., and the Dingman Delaware School Complex in Dingman Twp. We provide fire protection, emergency medical services, vehicle extrication, water rescue, ice rescue, and dive recovery services. Our dept. is funded strictly by the public's donations.
