About Midway Vol. Fire Department:
Midway Vol. Fire Department proudly protects 4000 people living in an area of 22 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Midway Fire Department was founded in 1989 and was in service August of '91 but we Recieved calls before that! We are Governed by a 5 Member board of Commisioners We Protect Est. 2000 homes and bussiness including the Baxter county Industrial park, and Baxter Regional Airport. In a Est. 22 sq. mile Area with a population of about 4000 people We are a class 5 Department Which we are very proud of as of the date we recieved the rating we are the youngest Fire Department in the State of Arkansas to be a 5 and the first to jump straight from a 9 to a 5! That would'nt have been possible With out the hard work and dedication and support of the Midway Auxilary who put on many fund Raisers and put in many hours and the support of our community in helping us get the Equipment to better serve and protect our Community and lower our Rating.
