About Candler County EMS:
Candler County EMS proudly protects 10000 people living in an area of 247 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status. We are a full time ambulance service. Our ambulances are equipped to handle an array of emergencies from minor scrapes and bruises to life threatening emergencies, such as major trauma or cardiac arrest. We staff one 24 hour crew, consisting of one Paramedic and one EMT,as well as a day truck and call crew of the same. We average approximately 1,500 calls a year. We also assist other surrounding counties when they exhaust their resources. We are proud to be able to serve the citizens of Candler County and the visitors passing through.
