About Merrimac Fire & Rescue, Inc.:
Merrimac Fire & Rescue, Inc. proudly protects Approx. 1000 people living in an area of 36 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We are a volunteer department covering a mostly rural area which is very heavy with tourist traffic in the summer and winter months. We currently have 28 members on the roster. Of that 28, 26 are both members of EMS and FF II certified and 2 are EMS only.
