Members of the department shall execute the mission in a compassionate, professional and timely manner. We shall endeavor to provide fire suppression, emergency medical response and treatment and public education services to the community with the goal of eliminating those events that are preventable and lessening the impact of those that are not. We shall execute this mission without regard to our own safety when others are in peril with the knowledge that the risk is our burden to shoulder and that which God has given to us to bear. We place into his hands our lives to use as his instrument. We service a community of 40,000 with in a 19 square mile radius. We have an ISO rating of 5/9 within the county of Madison.
