Mentor o/t Lake Fire Department proudly protects aprox. 9000 people living in an area of 1.8 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status. Mentor o/t Lake Fire Dept. is made up of 5 fulltime and 34 partime firefighters operating out of 1 station. We currently have 12 paramedics, 1 advanced E.M.T. and 19 basic E.M.T.'s. All members are 36 hour T.I. state certified firefighters. The Mentor o/t Lake Fire Department was chartered by the city goverment in 1926, and is anticipating a large celebration for our 75th aniversary in the year 2001 NOTE: This is not the official Web sight of the Mentor o/t/ Lake Fire Department.
