Melbourne Beach Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 3000 people living in an area of 1.5 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Settled in 1883, Melbourne Beach is a quite coastal community. It is located on Florida's east coast, about 30 miles south of the J.F. Kennedy Space Center. Established in 1953, the Melbourne Beach Vol. Fire Dept. is the oldest fire Dept. on Brevard County's beach side. It provides fire protection, prevention, and water rescue services to the town.
